I'm Oluwabusayo, a software engineer and technical writer based in Lagos. I've spent the last few years building software and writing about it: docs, tutorials, articles, and the occasional video.
How I spend my time
Most of my time goes into product engineering, mostly front-end work. The rest goes into writing: tutorials, product docs, API references, and the odd video when something is easier to show than explain.
Where I've worked
CodeCrafters · Software Engineer & Technical Writer (Present)
Building the platform engineers use to rebuild Redis, Git, SQLite, and friends from scratch. Plus the docs and writing that help them do it.
Pramie Technologies · Software Engineer (Previously)
Front-end engineering for client projects, including bloco.co.uk and firstactive365.com.
Writing & docs
I've written long-form articles for Strapi, Sitepoint, Permify, and a steady stream of clone tutorials for Stream, Google Meet, Slack, Telegram, Signal, YouTube Live. On the docs side I've worked with CodeCrafters, Clutch, Equilibrium Labs (Pathfinder), TanStack, Canonical, and Google (the Dart webcrypto package).
I mostly write about things I've actually built. It keeps the writing grounded, and writing something up is usually how I find the parts I hadn't fully understood.
The tools I actually use
Day to day: VS Code, GitHub, Notion, Figma, Slack. For writing: Google Docs, Hemingway, Grammarly, Frase for keyword research. For docs: Markdown, Docusaurus, Nextra, Swagger. TypeScript is the default. Python shows up when the task wants it.
